This has been the week of the neck scarf. I think I’m hooked. What about you?
If you had to describe my style in one word, it probably wouldn’t have anything to do with grunge. Usually I keep to a preppy or girly look, but that hasn’t always been the case. I remember when I went through a period where I only wore black or gray. My friends would call me an “Emo Goose.” Not that I ever went as far to truly call myself emo, that just wasn’t my style, but I was on the bandwagon of all black or monochrome colors (or the absence of).
Since then I’ve tried to incorporate color into most of my outfits. I did pull the black back out for this look, but there is some red in there 😉
I’d like to take a minute to say that my arm is not abnormally large, but that I actually stole this shirt from my dad’s closet so the sleeve are a bit big. I workout, but I’m not that swole…
I would love to add a few rips to the tee, but my dad might disown me if I “ruined” his shirt. Ah, you win some and you lose some.
There’s something exhilarating about taking a risk, even if it’s as simple as straying away from your normal style. I know I have been feeling in a bit of a rut lately and it seems like everything is down to the same old routine. That’s not to say that routines are bad, in fact they are necessary in a lot of situations. But for myself, I have to have a bit of change in my life or I begin to feel a bit depressed.
How do you deal with the all encompassing feeling of sameness?
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, whether your are out and about or relaxing at home. Change comes in all kinds of forms.
My help comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and Earth. Psalm 121:2
